The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Marla Brandt has been appointed Principal of Kleefeld School, effective for the 2026–27 school year.

Marla currently serves as Principal, Resource Teacher, and Guidance Counsellor at Lowe Farm School in the Red River Valley School Division, roles she has held since 2016. Earlier in her career, she served as a Resource Teacher and Guidance Counsellor in the Red River School Division for ten years. Prior to that, Marla taught Early and Middle Years students across several divisions, including Red River, Borderland, Rhineland, and Morris-Macdonald School Divisions, as well as in an independent school setting.

Marla holds a Bachelor of Education (1996) and a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Education (2017) from the University of Manitoba.

The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Graham Sereda has been appointed Principal of Niverville Middle School, effective for the 2026–27 school year.

Graham is currently the Vice-Principal of Kleefeld School, a position he has held since the fall of 2025. Prior to joining the staff at Kleefeld School, he served as Vice-Principal at Niverville High School (2019–2025). His teaching experience in the 91¿ì»îÁÖ includes nine years at Niverville Collegiate Institute (2010–2019).

Graham holds a Bachelor of Science (2008), a Bachelor of Education (2010), and a Post-Baccalaureate Education Certificate (2021) from the University of Manitoba.

The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Joel Bergen has been appointed principal of Clearspring Middle School, effective for the 2026–27 school year.

Joel is currently the principal of Kleefeld School, a position he has held since 2020, after serving as the school’s vice-principal and resource teacher (2015–2020). Before joining the staff at Kleefeld School, Joel taught at Stonybrook Middle School (2012–2015), where he also served as part-time vice-principal and acting principal. His teaching experience in the 91¿ì»îÁÖ includes Steinbach Junior High School (2008–2012) and Niverville Elementary School (2002–2006).

Joel holds a Bachelor of Arts (2000) and a Bachelor of Education (2002) from the University of Manitoba.

Steinbach, MB. April 23, 2025 – The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of John Terrick as Principal of Mitchell Middle School, effective September 2025.

John currently serves as both Vice-Principal and Learning Support Teacher at Mitchell Middle School, positions he has held since September 2023. From February to June 2024, he was assigned to Bothwell School as Interim Principal on a temporary basis.

Prior to his current role, John served as Vice-Principal and Learning Support Teacher at Mitchell Elementary School from 2022 to 2023 and from 2016 to 2021, with a year in between in the same capacity at Stonybrook Middle School. John’s teaching career also includes 15 years at Mitchell Middle School from 2000 to 2015 and one year at Steinbach Junior High School from 1999 to 2000.

John earned his Bachelor of Education in 1999 from the University of Manitoba.

Steinbach, MB. March 28, 2025 – The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of A.J. Neufeld as Principal of Stonybrook Middle School, effective September 2025.

A.J. currently serves as Principal of Mitchell Middle School, a role he has held since January 2021. Previously, he was Vice Principal of Stonybrook Middle School from 2017 to December 2020 and taught physical education at Clearspring Middle School from 2012 to 2017. His teaching experience also includes three years at Green Valley School from 2009 to 2012 and four years at schools in British Columbia and Saskatchewan.

A.J. earned a Bachelor of Education from Simon Fraser University in 2005 and a Bachelor of Kinesiology from University College of the Fraser Valley in 2004. He is currently completing his Master of Education at Brandon University.

Jolene is currently the Vice-Principal and Learning Support Teacher at Niverville Elementary School, roles she has held since September 2019. Jolene’s teaching experience also includes 14 years at Mitchell Middle School, where she served as a learning support teacher from 2014 to 2019 and as a classroom teacher and guidance counsellor from 2005 to 2014.

Jolene completed her Bachelor of Education from the University of Winnipeg in 2005.

The Board of Trustees wishes Jolene all the best in her new role for the 2025–26 school year.

Steinbach, MB – Feb. 18, 2025 – The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Vanessa David as Principal of Landmark Collegiate, effective September 2025.

Vanessa is currently the Vice-Principal at Blumenort School, a position she has held since September 2023. Before this role, she was a teacher at the Steinbach Regional Secondary School, where she taught Science, Math, and Flexible Education from 2015 to 2023. Vanessa also served as Principal of St. Aidan’s Christian School in Winnipeg from 2017 to 2018 and worked as both a teacher and acting principal at St. Aidan’s from 2010 to 2014.

Vanessa earned her Bachelor of Education in 2010 from the University of Manitoba and is currently enrolled in the Master of Education in Educational Administration also at the University of Manitoba.

The Board of Trustees wishes Vanessa all the best in her new role for the 2025–26 school year.

Steinbach, MB. Oct. 29, 2024 – The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Kim Koop as Principal for Parkhill School. Scheduled to open in September 2025, the new school will provide space for 500 Gr. K-4 students.

Kim brings over 25 years of administrative and teaching experience to her new role. She has been the Principal of Landmark Elementary School since 2018 and previously served as Vice-Principal and Resource Teacher at Southwood School. Kim has also held the divisional support positions of Early Years Learning Coach and Curriculum Support Teacher for Early Years Math and Science. Her classroom teaching experience includes seven years at Blumenort School and Landmark Elementary School. Kim earned a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Educational Leadership from the University of Manitoba in 2019 and a Bachelor of Education in 1996.

Kim is dedicated to creating a community of learners where every student, their families, and staff feels empowered to experience the joy of learning. The Board of Trustees wishes her all the best as the first principal of Parkhill School.

Steinbach, MB. September 24, 2024 – The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Marlin Adrian as Assistant Superintendent of the 91¿ì»îÁÖ, effective November 1, 2024.

With 25 years of experience in the 91¿ì»îÁÖ, Marlin brings a deep understanding of the Division’s history, values, and priorities. He is currently the Principal of Landmark Collegiate and previously served as Vice-Principal at Green Valley School. His teaching experience spans over 17 years, having taught senior years at Steinbach Regional Secondary School and middle years at Steinbach Junior High School. Marlin also holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration.

Throughout his career, Marlin has shown a commitment to fostering collaborative relationships with students, parents, staff, and fellow administrators, promoting a positive and cooperative work environment. His diverse background will equip him to contribute meaningfully to the Division’s continued success.

Steinbach, MB. May 24, 2024 – The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Anders Rempel as the principal of Elmdale School, effective September 2024.

Anders is currently a vice-principal in the Chinook’s Edge School Division in Olds, Alberta, a position he has held since September 2023. Prior to his current role, Anders was teacher in the 91¿ì»îÁÖ for 19 years having taught at Niverville Elementary School, Steinbach Junior High School, and Stonybrook Middle School.

Anders earned his Bachelor of Education in 1999 and Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Education in 2006, both from the University of Manitoba. He completed a Master of Science, Educational Psychology in 2014 from the University of Wisconsin.

The Board of Trustees wishes Anders all the best in his new position for the 2024-25 school year.
